  2. I have a big David mix (c. '65 - '70) of 15 tracks that is top to bottom gorgeous. Everybody's Been Burned is honestly flat out brilliant. Those bizarre tunings, odd meters, all of it, culminating in the fantastic 1971 solo album. I am also weak for one of his more hippie-ish tracks that, although about sailing, evokes a kind of cosmic galactic sailing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdNO9Qa5rzI

  3. would love to hear it Asif

what a superabundance of songwriting talent in a single group - Crosby, Gene Clark, Roger McG - very much like an American Beatles in that respect. Add to that them doing better (well more easy on the ear) versions of Dylan songs and WOW

  4. never got into Buffalo Springfield though for some reason, apart from the really famous epoch-definer tune

Some good songs by peripheral members as well. This is a nice one by Gene (not Gram) Parsons:

This gem of a cover went unreleased:

    (I'm a bit obsessive about post-"Sweetheart" Byrds)
