મોં સંગીત
me roots and me culcha (sort of)
well it's me ancestry, on one side, but in truth me roots and me culcha is really this
I assume that's parent culcha, what about sibling culcha? I had Topol, Trio Los Paraguayos and 'Peer Gynt' from my mum, ELP and Yes from my 9-yrs-older bruv (and later The Stranglers and The Jam).
yes that's all parents's music taste and then Clangers is off the TV. Under "parents" i could also mentioned Beethoven's Pastoral Symph and The Planets by Holst.
i'm the eldest so it ought to be me leading my younger brothers taste-wise but it was actually Tim, two and a half years my junior, who brought back a tape with songs by the Sex Pistols, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, and Buzzcocks on. Or did he buy "Noise Annoys" as a single? can't remember. Then he bought New Boots and Panties on white vinyl (with 'sex and drugs and rock'n'roll" as a bonus track on it) and then an X Ray Spex's album and a Vibrators record (Pure Mania - the only one of this lot not leave an indelible mark on me). And then I got into buying records myself
